Summary
A middle-aged woman is devastated by the news that she has STAGE 4 KIDNEY FAILURE. Although she, her 5 children, and husband have known about her diabetes for some time, she is completely unprepared for this unfortunate news. The Nephologist orders several tests and sends in her dietician to assist with diet preparation and instruction. The dietician explains what foods the patient is to avoid, which is much more extensive than the patient had expected. Although the dietician has given some recommendations, most of her instruction was a list of what the patient CANNOT consume, leaving the patient feeling depressed and oppressed.
