ZOOMINAR 0500: “LIVER CANCER, CAN IT BE CURED”
Summary
The oncologist and patient seem to be at odds as to the patient’s true condition. The oncologist changes to a lower register so the patient can understand but afterwards, reverts back to a higher register, causing confusion in the mind of the patient. Toward the end of the interview the Oncologist seems to have finally found the correct register.
This Role-Play is rated “Advanced” primarily due to the use of difficult medical terminology. Both the beginner interpreter, as well as the advanced, will find a good share of challenges.
